EIP SERIES

 

EIP Inserter requires synchronization achieved by an external pulse per second signal (1PPS) and a 10MHz frequency reference, both   easily obtained from a GPS receiver. The SFN Adapter is provided with two (serial) ASI inputs (188 or 204 byte packets) which accept MPEG Transport Streams according to DVB recommendations.

In the DVB-T networks operating in SFN architecture, the SFN Adapter must be included in the signal processing. It is a high professional equipment necessary to insert the Megaframe Initialization Packet into an incoming ASI Transport Stream to synchronize it.
The functions are:
·    Generation of a Megaframe Initialization Packet (MIP), compliant with ETSI TS 101 191 and insertion into a MPEG Transport
Stream;
·    Transport Stream bit rate adjustment to be synchronous with an external reference, according with the chosen COFDM
 transmission mode;
·    Provides signalling/mode data for the control of individual transmitter modulators.
