The EDFXS series is a superior performance transmitting system fully compliant with worldwide DTV standards, supporting DVB-T/H, DVB-T2, ATSC or ISDB-T/Tb. This air-cooled series is available from low to high output power levels featuring excellent signal quality. Output power ranges are up to 12KW for UHF and to 14.4KW for bIII and bI. The EDFXS transmitters are based on EDXS driver and DF series amplifier. Mask filter and different options for size 19” standard rack cabinet complete the system. Each device is provided with high efficiency blowers ensuring a perfect cooling system. For the medium and high power systems the hot air is well extracted on the top of the cabinet. To obtain the required high output power, several independent base amplifiers are combined. It is possible to remove one or more amplifiers, for maintenance operation, without interrupting the service. The transmitter will be ever on air, at reduced power. Integrated latest LD-MOS technology guarantees excellent linearity and capability and also a high power level with compact design. High efficiency switching power supply stages complete the great performance of ED amplifier. High power transmitter is supervised by a main control unit which shows all system working parameters.
